Firmware Flashing Instructions
Caution
Improper firmware updating procedures can result in the kit not functioning. Read this document carefully and avoid improper updating. Should a power failure, lightning, accidental shutdown or noise occur during writing of data, the kit may fail to function normally. In the worst case this can lead to damage to the equipment. We shall not be liable for such damage and the user may be required to ask for repair at his/her own expense.

Please follow the steps below:
- Connect the kit to the computer
Connect the USB Loader to your computer using the provided USB cable, and then connect the 4 pin D2D harness from your USB Loader to the Vehicle Interface Kit, as shown in Figure 1.

- Download the Vehicle Specific Firmware
Download the appropriate vehicle specific firmware using an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.

- Open the XpressLoader application
Click Start, click All Programs, click XpressLoader, and then click XpressLoader

- XpressLoader displays the vehicle interface kit's existing firmware version. Click the Browse button to find the firmware update file that you downloaded. The new firmware version information is displayed after you select a firmware file, as shown in Figure 4 below.

- Transfer the new firmware to the kit
To being transferring the firmware, click [Flash]. A progress bar will show the status of the write process. Note: The update process will take approximately 30 seconds.

- Complete the update
When the update is complete, a message will appear on the screen as shown in Figure 6. The current information box (see Figure 6) will be updated with the current version of the reflashed file. You may close the application and disconnect the kit from the computer.
